In a comprehensive nationwide circular issued Monday, the Public Safety Division directed Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) and officers-in-charge of all 495 police stations to institute multi-stakeholder vigilance committees.
The committees will include local school headmasters, ward council members, and community youth counsellors to identify adolescent vulnerability early and prevent gang recruitment.
